Challenge

Making ZBrush Summit stand out in an AI-saturated world

The challenge was to create a campaign for ZBrush Summit that celebrated the artistry and community behind digital sculpting while standing apart from the growing wave of polished but impersonal AI-generated visuals. As the flagship event for ZBrush artists around the world, the campaign needed to support kickoff videos, sculpt-off promotions, livestream graphics, emails, social content, and landing pages while capturing the craft and personality that define the community. The goal was to make the event feel handmade, inspiring, and unmistakably artist-first, while building excitement around one of the most recognizable events in digital sculpting.

Solution

Creating a handcrafted visual language

The creative direction centered on a sketched and cut-paper aesthetic that brought warmth, texture, and imperfection to the campaign. Instead of leaning into glossy hyperrealism, we used layered handmade visuals to reflect the tactile process of sculpting itself and to intentionally contrast the uncanny feeling of AI-generated imagery. This approach shaped the full campaign system across the kickoff video, sculpt-off video, livestream graphics, announcement emails, landing pages, and social posts. The handcrafted style gave the event a strong visual identity that echoes with the values of the ZBrush community, reinforcing the idea that great work starts with the artist’s hand.

Conclusion

Celebrating 25 years as the leader in digital sculpting

The campaign successfully positioned ZBrush Summit as more than a product event by reinforcing its role as a global creative gathering for artists, educators, and studios. The distinct visual language helped the launch stand out across digital channels and gave the livestream and sculpt-off experience a stronger emotional identity. By focusing on craft, personality, and community, the campaign strengthened audience engagement and created a launch that felt authentic to the spirit of ZBrush and the artists who have shaped it for over 25 years.
